Fundraising Policies

It is the belief of this basketball organization that our participants should play an active part in supporting our programs. This support comes through the player’s willingness to help fundraise monies.

Each participant will be given the opportunity to raise money through fundraising activities that our program takes on as a team.

Some examples of these activities are:

1. Our seasonal basketball program through which we sell ads.
2. Our seasonal schedule poster through which we sell ads.
3. Team raffle
4. Concession stand at home games.
5. Our tournament basketball program through which we sell ads.

It is the desire of our organization that each “C” Team player try to attain a monetary donation of at least $350.00.

It is the desire of our organization that each “Junior Varsity” Team player try to attain a monetary donation of at least $350.00.

It is the desire of our organization that each “Varsity” Team player try to attain a monetary donation of at least $800.00.

Rewards are given to players as they meet certain levels of money raised for the program.

At the $200.00 level, each participant will receive a set of Basketball Practice Gear that is a mandatory part of practice.

At the $350.00 level, each participant will receive a South Anchorage Basketball Sweatshirt.

For the “Junior Varsity and “C” Team participants, the $350.00 level will cover the players costs to travel to an out of town weekend of games. This covers lodging at a hotel.

For the Varsity participants, the $800.00 level will cover the player’s costs to travel to tournaments outside of Anchorage. This covers airfare, lodging and ground transportation.
